About

I want to use this blog to help myself and other learn more about aviation by having discussion take place where we can feel safe to share how we feel and how your flight training is going. I look forward to how this blog can grow.

Just a little about myself, I and am married to a wonderful person and proud owner of a Boston Terrier. My ratings include: ATP, CFI/CFII/MEI, tail wheel instructor, and advance ground instructor.  My first job as a CFI was at Wausau Flying Service Inc, I worked as a CFI along with working the line reposition aircraft and fueling.  I was also a part time flight instructor working at Quest Aviation (Y14). I am currently on a leave of absent from work, which is a cargo pilot for Encore Air Cargo flying out of Sioux Falls SD (KFSD), while I am serving in the Army.  While I was stationed in South Korea I taught at Osan Flight Training Center.

I am a former U.S. Marine and served four years in the air wing during which I  was stationed in Okinawa Japan for 1 year and Hawaii for 2 years.   After receiving an honorable discharge I attended college at UW-Lacrosse WI for 2 1/2 year in physics during which time I discovered my love of flight and transferred to St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud MN for 3 years where I finished my B.S. in aviation. I was in the WI Army National Guard during my collage years and activated for the Iraq war once.  After being demobilized I left the guard to finish my degree and pursue a career in aviation.

Goals:  learn to fly a helicopter, Own my own plane
